Medical Massage
The work of a medical massage therapist differs from that of a general massage therapist. Medical massage therapists have advanced training and experience that allows them to provide care focused on healing injuries, improving function, or increasing circulation. Medical massage therapy is designed to strategically target medical conditions that are diagnosed by a physician.Additionally, there are many types of massage that your therapist may use, from deep tissue massage to trigger point therapy, and even stretching techniques.
Hawaiian hot stone therapy
Hawaiian Hot Stone Massage is an Ancient art in relaxation massages. The use of hot stones and Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage techniques help create a state of deep relaxation and mental & emotional harmony. The stones are hand-chosen for size, shape and texture. A variety of different shaped & sized stones are then used to massage in a firm, rhythmic sequence using the long flowing strokes.
Hawaiian hot stone massage is one of the most deeply relaxing treatments, it improves circulation and calms the nervous system. It is recommended for those with stress, anxiety and tension, neck, shoulder and back pain, poor circulation, arthritic pain, insomnia, and depression.
Buccal face massage or Internal contouring massage
Bucca means “cheek” in Latin and the Buccal Massage technique traces back to mid-1980s. The massage is partly performed from inside the mouth to get a better access to facial muscles (therapist wears gloves for that part). The buccal massage is a relatively new technique developed to restore muscular facial tone. Face massage is based on pressure points techniques, gliding movements and is performed when client is lying down facing up.
Buccal massage allows us to reach deeper layers of the skin such as the muscle tissue, ligaments and bones. Superficial facial massage only achieves superficial results. By working on the deeper structures, we can naturally increase facial tone, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and improve skins complexion. As a result, we can dramatically reduce visual signs of ageing without surgical interventions. This technique requires great knowledge of anatomical structures of the face, as well as the skill to work on individual muscles.

Sports massage
Is for pre-event training support, injury recovery and post event recovery. Sports massage uses all manners of massage techniques from basic Swedish stokes and trigger point therapy to myofascial release and stretching. Sports massage is helpful during training to help soothe and rebalance muscles that may be over worked or that are becoming causes of postural imbalances and/or joint strains. Massage for support during injury recovery can help rebalance muscles that are hypertonic from being in a protective state and break up adhesions that are causing pain and joint disfunction.
Post-event massage is helpful for flushing out lactic acid, for relaxing hypertonic muscles and just general calming and soothing of the muscular and nervous system. Getting massages throughout your training can increase recovery time and help prevent injury.
Infant massage
Infants who experience regular massage often see reduced stress, nervous system improvements and improved self-regulation, and body-awareness. Baby massage stimulates their central nervous system. Massaging an infant can have many benefits, including: Reducing pain, Increasing weight gain. As a result, your baby may cry less, be less fussy or colicky, and sleep better.
Prenatal massage
Prenatal massage is tailored to the specific needs of the pregnant woman’s changing body. This is done with the use of a pregnancy pillow/cushion so you can lie on your side during the massage. As a professional therapist I know which areas to avoid and which techniques to use.
